I am Eglė Jarkova – a violinist, teacher, and creator of cultural initiatives, born and raised in Šiauliai. Here, at Šiauliai Second Music School, under the guidance of teacher Sigita Zemitaitė, the foundations of my musical journey were laid, forming a deep connection with the violin, which has become an inseparable part of my professional and personal identity. This is where my values, creative courage, and sense of responsibility developed. Šiauliai taught me community spirit, cultural sensitivity, and the duty to share what I have received. My studies and creative path led me to Vilnius, then to Italy, and today I live and work in Boston, USA. International experience has broadened my artistic vision, yet the strong connection to my hometown remains the foundation of my work. I link my activities with musical, educational, cultural, and community engagement, where music, people, and conscious growth intersect. Happy birthday, my city!
