I am Raimundas Balza, a historian, museologist, and heritage preservation specialist born in Šiauliai. Since 1997, I have been leading the Šiauliai “Aušros” Museum. Under my initiative, projects for the reconstruction, restoration, and adaptation of the museum’s branches have been implemented, creating modern historical memory centers known throughout Lithuania. Their exhibitions contribute to shaping the city’s identity, preserving historical memory, and fostering community engagement. My professional work and civic involvement are closely connected with Šiauliai and the strengthening of the city’s identity on a national level.
