On April 17 at 18:00, the Šiauliai Cultural Centre Gallery “Laiptai” will host the opening of the solo exhibition “Dual Singular” by Audronė Petrašiūnaitė.

The artist Audronė Petrašiūnaitė will participate in the event. The exhibition will be presented by art historian Kotryna Žukauskaitė-Šiaučiulė.

The exhibition features paintings created in 2024–2025, reflecting the author’s personal experiences and inner transformations. After spending five months in hospital, Audronė Petrašiūnaitė experienced drawing as a lifeline that helped her endure a period of confinement and routine. Upon returning home after a cold spring, she began painting—art became a way to express the fragility of the body, the desire for life, and inner protection.

About the idea of the exhibition, the artist presents a poetic sequence:
