On September 18 at 6:00 p.m., squares, parks and streets across Lithuania will come alive with dance as the country’s popular ethnic culture initiative “All Lithuania Dances” takes place for the 12th time.
The event celebrates the traditions of Lithuania’s ethnographic regions and the diversity of Lithuanian folk dances. Everyone is welcome to join, regardless of age or experience – and participation is free.
In Šiauliai, the event will take place at Povilas Višinskis Square, where dancers will be accompanied by the Šiauliai Culture Centre’s folklore ensembles “Salduvė” (artistic director Darius Daknys) and “Vijolė” (artistic director Arūnas Stankus).
The Lithuanian National Culture Centre, which organizes the “All Lithuania Dances” project, invites everyone to take part – whether to discover or rediscover the joy of traditional dance and togetherness.
