On September 23, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., as part of the European Heritage Days 2026 programme, visitors are invited to a free visit to the Ona and Peliksas Bugailiškiai House.

On the first floor, visitors will be able to explore displays presenting Peliksas Bugailiškis’s life and work and experience the authentic atmosphere of the house, where cultural initiatives and ideas for an independent Lithuania took shape.

Throughout the visit, those interested in Peliksas Bugailiškis will have the opportunity to speak with Virginija Šiukščienė, Deputy Director of the Šiauliai “Aušra” Museum, who will provide individual visitors with additional information about his life and legacy.

Visitors will also be able to see the straw garden exhibition “Under the Golden Gardens”, currently on display at the P. Bugailiškis Ethnology Centre.
