“SAVI | Returns” – a concert series dedicated to the 790th anniversary of Šiauliai City, inviting audiences to meet talents whose creative journeys began in Šiauliai. It is not only a series of concerts, but also meaningful returns to the city where the first musical discoveries were made, laying the foundations for their artistic careers today. The series reminds us that Šiauliai nurtures talents who, through their achievements, bring recognition to the city’s name in Lithuania and around the world.

The concert series was launched by world-renowned accordionist Vincent Lhermet, and on 29 October his student – the young-generation Lithuanian accordionist Jonas Vozbutas – returns to Šiauliai. His musical journey towards the professional stage began right here, at the Šiauliai Saulius Sondeckis Art Gymnasium.

Currently, Jonas is studying at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris (CNSMDP) in the class of Professor Vincent Lhermet. The young performer has already received significant international recognition – in 2025 he became a laureate of the Vilnius International Accordion Competition and the prestigious “Arrasate Hiria” Competition in the Basque Country, Spain.

As a soloist, he has performed in many European countries and the United States, appearing at the Berlin Philharmonie, the Lithuanian National Philharmonic, the “Fondation Singer-Polignac” in Paris, and collaborating with renowned Lithuanian and international ensembles. In 2026, Jonas became an honorary ambassador of Šiauliai’s jubilee year.

This concert is a meaningful return to the city where Jonas’s musical identity was shaped and where the strong foundations for his achievements today were built. It is an evening that celebrates how a talent nurtured in Šiauliai now resonates on the world’s greatest stages.
