Throughout the jubilee year, the city’s heritage, history, character, and identity are brought to the forefront. Through the city’s main symbols—the Sun and the city coat of arms—the public is invited to experience a year-long journey, travelling together with the Sun through the seasons.
The jubilee year is structured into four symbolic chapters:
“Dawn. The Awakening Bull,” “The Growth of the Sun. The Protecting Bear,” “The Power of the Sun. The Ducal Crown,” and “The Abduction of the Sun. The Eye of Providence.”
